First off let me say that I have bought this product. I am not writing a review of something I do not own. I want to be able to give you a complete and honest opinion of the Green DIY Energy System. To tell you the truth I checked out another DIY home solar system and while the basic systems are the same, I just didnt feel that the product was what it claimed to be. So I looked for another how to make your own solar panels program.

What Makes This System Different

The amount of information included is signifigant. There is much more printed material and more video included than other DIY home solar programs. There is also installation and mounting instructions, plus wiring plans that you wont get with some other programs. Like I said others programs will show you how to make an inexpensive solar panel. If you cant do anything with it when you are done what good is it? Most of these systems cost about the same, why not get the most for your dollar. Thats part of what this is all about, saving money. Other programs are going to leave you a little short on information and that is a waste of money. Green DIY Energy System provides you with 2 solar guides, 6 videos and bonus material such as an energy audit kit to figure out how much energy you use and an array sizing work sheet to figure out how may panels you would need to cover all the electricity needs.

To top it all off they have a A+ rating with the BBB and are also part of the American Solar Energy Society. Its not easy to get that kind of rating on the BBB. Your the customer service has to be top notch as well. There is also a online forum to post and ask questions. With the Green DIY Energy System you not only get the plans and video, you get back up help when you need it.

Plus I alsways forget about the windmill plans. I keep forgettting them because I have no plans to use them at the moment. I have no idea if there are rules or ordinances about them but I would check before I put one up on a downtown brownstone.

What Can This System Do For You

This is really the key isnt it? What will Green DIY Energy System do for me? That really is up to you. What is it that you want? Do you want to save money on your electric bill? Do you want to become less reliant on fossil fuels and nuclear energy? Less depenent on local utilty companies? Reduce your carbon foot print? Make the earth a safer and better planet for yourself and your family. Green DIY Energy System can do all of that. It will provide you with the know how to build a system for yourself that can do things as simple as running a small applience to cutting down your electric bill. Just looking at the nuclear disaster in Japan, how can we not want to look for the best alternative energy sources we can. I think it is that anyone with a family has to take this into consideration. Pros and Cons

No system is perfect and I wouldnt expect you to believe me if I told you this one was. So I am going to start off with the biggest problem with this and every DIY solar system.

They all tell you that you can build a solar panel for $200 hundred dollars or less and you can. What they all seem to imply is that is all you need to do, that is not true. You are not going to build a solar panel for $200 and go off grid for the rest of your days. Its just not going to happen. You will need a lot of $200 panels for that to happen. Then you need batteries and other equipment. So if you heard about Green DIY Energy System and thought you were going to save 3000 bucks a year by spending $200 I am sorry to disappoint you. Like I said honest review .

There are also, depending on your state, rules that apply to selling back power you make to the local utilities. You may or may not qualify. I will provide a link so you can check your state. In my opinion if I got to the point that I am getting all my electricity for free I would be happy with that.

Those are the biggest problems and they are all the same when it comes down to that. Beyond that point the system and the video instruction is great. The idea works and yes you can save yourself a lot of money. People are doing this all over theworld and there is no reason you cant. The system somes with everything you need to get you started along with the support you will need as well. Plus in the end if you are not interested or impressed with the system there is a money back gaurentee. You cant go wrong in myopinion.

Renewable energy is derived from natural processes that are replenished constantly. In its various forms, it derives directly from the sun, or from heat generated deep within the earth. Included in the definition is electricity and heat generated from solar, wind, ocean, hydropower, biomass, geothermal resources, and biofuels and hydrogen derived from renewable resources. That is according to the International Energy Agency.

The main benifit of renewable energy is that once you have a system in place its free. We don’t pay for sunlight or wind. They are just there for us to use. It is the system that is expensive and what makes renewable energy solutions expensive. Topaz SolarFarm is a proposed solar power plant in California that would be the largest plant in the world. It also has a price tag of over 1 billion dollars. Thats a lot of money and I am sure that the people who will use that power will pay at a premium.

Even though there are people who could care less where the electricity comes from, it is hard to get them to jump on the renewable energy bandwagon if it is going to cost them more money. This is why there is a lot of interest and very little action. People have been using solar power for a long time but it was only people who had the money to buy expensive systems. Now there is interest in solar farms and solar energy plants to deliever renewable energy to millions of people. These plants are new and expensive, most being built in the last 4 years. Until these sorts of systems become more cost effective they are going to have a hard time getting support.

I too have to say that I fall into this category myself. I remember a few years ago I got a letter in the mail saying that I could switch from my normal electric supply company to one that used wind power. I looked at the pricing and I said forget it. Why would I want to pay more money. My electric bills were already too high, there is no way I was going to switch.

Until green energy technologies become the standard I think that the only way to get affordable alternative energy is to do it yourself. Fortunately there are companies like Green DIY Energy System that support individuals looking for the best alternative energy solutions.

My view on Green DIY Energy System

In recent years the push to become environmentally responsible has been strong. Recycling, more fuel efficient vehicles and a larger part of the population starting to realize that we need to become less dependent on fossile fuels in general. While I am a firm believer that everyone should do what they can, there has been less attention on renewable energy solutions for the home.

People are always finding ways to take what big buisness is doing and apply it to the home. From biodiesle to homemade solar. People are doing it themselves and leaving out the big corporations. Big buisness is in it for the money, not to change the way things are done, not to improve the enviroment but to make a buck. The regular guy is trying to save a buck while doing good at the same time. Our interests are completly opposite. Which is why something like the Green DIY Energy System works. It is inexpensive and allows you to choose who much or how little corporate involvement there is.

Regardless of what anyones interests are, saving money or helping the enviorment, DIY home solar is on the rise. There are thousands of people going off the grid or atleast becoming less dependent on buying electricity. If its possible why not, why not take a step in the right direction. I believe that the Green DIY Energy System is a fasntastic oppertunity to learn what it takes to put your right foot forward and start the ball rolling to lowering energy costs and going green at the same time.
